These services include drilling, blasting, loading, haulage, and direct mining support to mine up to 32 M total tons per annum, deliver approximately 60 M ore tons per annum to the crusher and provide crusher feed services from the ore stockpile.
AuRico Gold contracted Ledcor to develop and operate the Young-Davidson open-pit gold mine in northern Ontario will deliver ore feed to the 6,000-ton-per-day processing mill have a 15-year life and will produce 180,000 ounces of gold annually.
Ledcor is ramping-up operations as the mining contractor for Midway’s open-pit Pan Project at the northern end of the Pancake Mountain Range in western White Pine County, Nevada, approximately 22 miles southeast of Eureka, Nevada, and 50 miles west of Ely, Nevada.
Ledcor, along with its partners Thyssen Mining and Redpath, was awarded the construction of permanent concrete/steel liners and related works for two potash mine shafts, both approximately 8 meters in diameter and 1 km in depth.
The project is in a remote region of Nevada at an elevation of 8,700 ft. This work entails strict adherence to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection – Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation requirements.
The reclamation work included the re-sloping (grading) of approximately 3,000,000 cy of angle-of-repose dumps and resurfacing (smoothing) of unvegetated dumps to prepare them for growth media and seed application..
Ledcor's scope included open pit coal operations, contract mining, waste pre-stripping, construction of access roads and ramps, preparation of drill pads, drilling, waste load, and haul and dump management.
Scope includes the site laydowns, roads, and ponds for the new BHP Jansen Potash mine as well as installing all underground utilities such as natural gas, raw water, firewater and stormwater systems.
What started as a pre-construction project in 2005 evolved into Ledcor leading the start-up and operations of this metallurgical coal mine that was handed over to Western Coal in June 2009.
The Cortez gold mine is located 100 kilometers (62 miles) southwest of Elko, Nevada. Ledcor provides mine site operational support, road building maintenance, and underground ore hauling services for this project.
In collaboration with the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC), Ledcor was awarded a contract to expand the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia
The Snap Lake project is located on the tundra, 220 air kilometers (136 miles) northeast of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Ledcor's primary scope of work was constructing all surface facilities, including the main processing building.
Gibraltar Mine project includes mine development and pioneering activities to move an additional 11 million tons of waste rock over a six-month period.
Ledcor was chosen to develop the Isabella Pearl open-pit gold mine in 2018 and is contracted to continue mine operations through at least 2021. The project is located in Mineral County, Nevada, approximately 24 miles east of Hawthorne.
Golden Queen Mining’s Soledad Mountain Project, a historic open-pit gold and silver mining operation near Mojave in Kern County, California, is currently expanding operations into a new mining phase.
The Mount Milligan Project is a copper-gold deposit located in Northern BC. Ledcor and Duz Cho Construction LP (owned and operated by the MacLeod Lake Indian Band) teamed up to provide earthworks construction services for the $85M project.
