Relief Canyon Mine

The Relief Canyon Mine is an open-pit mine and heap leach processing facility located in Pershing County, Nevada. 

Ledcor’s work scope for the contract mining operations consisted of providing complete open pit mining services. These services included drilling, blasting, loading, haulage, and direct mining support to mine up to 32 M total tons per annum, deliver approximately 60 M ore tons per annum to the crusher and provide crusher feed services from the ore stockpile. 

Ledcor mobilized its immersive haul truck simulator to the site during project startup to aid in training and competency evaluation. By identifying bad habits through the simulation and correcting them, the simulator aids in increasing the availability of the haul fleet, increasing the life of the machine and reducing maintenance requirements.
