In 1947, with the help of a bulldozer loan secured on nothing more than a handshake, William Lede started building supply roads for Imperial Oil’s historic discovery well in Leduc, Alberta. With that, Leduc Construction was born.
Modest, steadfast, clear in his convictions, Bill set out to shape his young company with a compelling vision of how business should be done — with integrity, accountability, and with an insistence on quality and customer service.
In both size and diversity, today’s Ledcor is a very different company than the one Bill started decades ago. Yet under the leadership of his son Dave, Bill’s values remain a part of everything we do.

Zero accidents through best practices
Quality

From the beginning, Ledcor has been driven by a vision of offering clients a diverse range of full services. Our ‘One Ledcor’ approach unites our many operating groups and offers clients a fully integrated team of experts who share knowledge, experience, and innovations that cut across industries and company divisions. This allows Ledcor to see jobs from many angles and find better ways to design, build, and move clients’ projects forward.
Health, safety, and environmental protection are etched into Ledcor’s culture. From our comprehensive project management system and site processes, to our “Think Safety, Work Safely” awareness initiative, Ledcor’s award-winning programs go above and beyond industry standards to make sure that every employee and subcontractor goes home safe and sound at the end of the day.
Caring for communities and for individuals both inside and outside the company has been a defining feature of Ledcor since the very beginning. Driven by a desire to assist others in need, we look for ways to engage with individuals and local communities, forge lasting relationships, and leave legacies that will remain long after projects have wrapped up.
The spirit of teamwork, respect, and compassion is the essence of our “True Blue” identity, that describes more than a group of employees, but members of an extended family who care for each other and share in the desire to be part of something exceptional.
