The Goldstrike Complex, one of the world's top gold mines, is 60 kilometers (37 miles) northwest of Elko, Nevada, on the Carlin Trend. In 2019, Nevada Gold Mines was formed as a joint venture between Barrick and Newmont, combining assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world.
Since 1998, we have worked on various projects onsite the Goldstrike Mine Complex. Some past work includes mine access road construction, overburden removal, contract mining, wet mill and roaster feeding, leach pad construction, construction of Tailings Storage Facility F3 - Stages 1 and 2, various reclamation projects including Bazza Reclamation in 2010, and general site maintenance work.
Operating 24/7, Ledcor supplies underground ore sorting services and supplemental crushing and feed services at the roaster at the Goldstrike Mine Complex. For this project, we utilize 100-ton trucks and 992 loaders to feed the autoclave and roaster crushers to process the ore.
After a competitive bid process and a 20-year relationship, Ledcor’s impressive safety record was a key deciding factor towards our contract renewal.
