Situated at the foot of the Burrard Street Bridge is a unique 39-storey residential tower. To complete this project, Ledcor Construction Limited worked through several logistical challenges such as a tight in-fill site in the downtown core of Vancouver adjacent to busy streets and bike lanes.
Grosvenor’s newest addition to Vancouver’s skyline boasts 224 residential units, including three townhouses, with eight levels of below-grade parking. Designed by architect Maxime Frappier of Montreal-based ACDF Architecture in collaboration with Vancouver-based IBI Group, the exterior façade consists of brushed stainless steel, white porcelain stone and a mosaic tile material on the ground level that incorporates public artwork.
For this project, Ledcor developed an innovative approach to establishing cost certainty by securing key trades in pre-construction.
This project also consisted of a 7-storey, award-winning Passive House building across the lane as a community amenity contribution to the City of Vancouver. The Passive House is the tallest commercial building of its kind in North America and was the first Passive House project completed by Ledcor.
