Aircraft MRO Facility Expansion

Ledcor provided preconstruction and construction management services for this 102,000 ft2 (9,476 m2) expansion to KF Aerospace’s aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Hamilton International Airport. The new 75,000 ft2 (6968 m2) pre-fabricated steel hangar is 285 ft (87 m) wide by 265 ft (81 m) deep with a 65 ft (20 m) high ceiling – a significant expansion to accommodate six lines of narrow-body or three lines of wide-body planes. It also includes offices, workshops and parking spaces. The project was built concurrently with the adjacent Mohawk College Centre for Aviation Technology.

Our team was able to accelerate the schedule by 8 weeks to accommodate KF Aerospace’s operational requirements. The building was completed in less than eight months.
