These two light industrial warehouses, built by Ledcor Construction Limited for lifetime client Panattoni Development Co., are located within 68th Street Logistics Park. The buildings have links to extensive services and are adjacent to some of Calgary’s largest transportation routes.
The warehouses span 31,000 m2 (339,000 ft2) and 39,000 m2 (422,000 ft2). Building 1 features an 11 m (36 ft) clear interior ceiling height, while building 2 stands at 12 m (40 ft) clear. They were constructed simultaneously with concrete pile supported grade beam foundations and a conventional single-story steel structure. The building envelopes feature full-height precast cladding with storefronts, punched window glazing, loading docks, metal cladding, and TPO roofing. Additional site work involved new underground utilities, sidewalks, paving, concrete aprons at the loading docks, and landscaping.
Targeting LEED Silver certification, the buildings include sustainability features such as solar-ready roofs and vehicle charging stations. The team completed this fast-tracked project in 15 months, successfully delivering it in December of 2023.
