Enbridge Shell Lands Pipeline Installation

In June 2014, Ledcor installed multiple pipelines connecting both of Enbridge’s Edmonton Terminals as well as delivering oil to the Kinder Morgan Terminal nearby. There pipeline installations were part of Enbridge’s Edmonton to Hardisty (E2H) and Woodlands Pipeline Expansion (WPE) projects. Ther scope of work included approximately 4.7 km of 36-inch pipe, 2.4 km of which were installed through HDDs (Horizontal Directional Drills) and the other 2.3 km of pipe installed through an open cut method. The work was completed successfully with many challenges including other infrastructure projects in the area, tight workspaces and coordination with many different parties in a congested corridor.
