Japan Canada Oils Sands (JACOS) developed the Hangingstone 20,000 barrels per day (bpd) Expansion Project facilities for bitumen production utilizing Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) technology.
The initial phase of development for the facilities consisted of six well pads, the associated above ground gathering and distribution pipelines, and ancillary facilities that were necessary to support the operation of preliminary facilities.
The $30 million project took 85,000 hours and was completed in early 2015.
