The FS1X Project was part of an expansion of the client’s ethylene plant in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Ledcor’s scope of work included all labour, equipment, handling, installation, and testing related to the erection of the new ethylene furnace, including installation of burners, convection & SCR modules, radiant panel refractory, transitions ducts; structural steel; prefabricated pipe spools, tie-ins to the live operating plant; insulation; electrical; instrumentation; and pre-commissioning support. On this project, Ledcor achieved a TRIF of 0.00 while executing 500,000 hours of work without any Medical Aid or recordable incidents.
