Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) began working in West Virginia in 2022, building and engineering fiber optic networks. The work performed here has a big impact on the local communities, allowing much faster internet speeds once the new cable is installed.

Since arriving in West Virginia, the team has installed more than 1,500 miles (2,414km) of fiber-optic cable, expanding access to high-speed internet in rural communities across the state with 98% of the fiber installed aerially on telephone poles.

“I am so proud of the entire team for their dedication, and I am looking forward to seeing how they progress as we continue to grow in this region.”

– Brian Damron, Project Director, LTS

The US government is investing heavily to expand fiber broadband networks into rural and remote parts of the country. The Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Act (BEAD) has committed over 40 billion US dollars to bring fixed broadband and voice service to millions of unserved areas in rural communities.

The LTS teams across West Virgina have delivered on both safety and production, building relationships, and opening doors for continued growth in neighboring states.
