Ledcor completed its 70th Anniversary celebrations today by announcing a $500,000 corporate donation to the Make A Wish Foundation through its various local chapters in Canada and the US. Ledcor had been marking its 70th Anniversary with a series of activities since November of 2017.
“The Make A Wish Foundation has always been a popular choice for our employees during our annual Ledcor Cares employee giving campaign,” said Dave Lede, Chairman and CEO of the Ledcor Group. “Make A Wish provides invaluable human experiences for children with life threatening medical conditions and needed support for their families, and we are pleased to offer additional funding this year.”
Ledcor also celebrated its 70th Anniversary with the publication of a special issue of The Globe magazine, tracing Ledcor’s history through 70 distinct milestones. The 36-page magazine has been mailed to Ledcor’s clients, partners, suppliers and shareholders, and an electronic version is now available on Ledcor’s website.
The company also created virtual history wall on its website, which summarizes Ledcor’s development – from its modest beginnings in Leduc, Alberta through its growth into one of Canada’s largest construction company, and one of the most diversified construction and industrial operating companies in North America.
“We are all very proud of Ledcor’s 70 years of achievement, which were accomplished with the help of many people,” said Dave Lede. “We thank our clients for their business, our employees for their contributions, our partners for their loyalty, and our shareholders for their confidence in the company. We look forward to continuing work together in the future.”
To commemorate Ledcor’s growth and development, two corporate videos were also produced to show The Ledcor Group’s broad operating geography and diverse services offerings. Both are now available for viewing on the Ledcor website and YouTube channel.
