On Sunday May 15th, for the fourth year in a row, Ledcor proudly sponsored the Her-ricanes, matching the efforts of the Warriors of Ledcor with a $3,516 contribution. Collectively, the Ledcor Her-ricanes were second in the top fundraising teams raising a total of $7,232. Ledcor team members also placed in the top five for individual fundraising, with Sharon Sandhu third and Christine Gildenstern fifth.
The event, which raises money in support of Easter Seals BC/Yukon & British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities, is always fun and helps send hundreds of children and young adults with physical and mental disabilities away for a week in the summer at one of three Easter Seals camps throughout British Columbia.
A special thanks to all the individuals who came out and braved the obstacles, including an ice bath, jumping over great heights, and the soap and slide! Our team is grateful for the amazing people who continue to support them, and are looking forward to participating again next year.
