Ledcor Cares

On Saturday, October 19th a sea of Ledcor employees from across the Edmonton area flowed into the West Edmonton Mall Centre Stage area to take part in the 2013 Inside Ride cycling challenge hosted by the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation.

The Inside Ride is an organized stationary cycling challenge that raises money and awareness for families and children affected by cancer. Proudly wearing their “Ledcor United” jerseys, 10 enthusiastic teams made up of  57 employees pedaled and sweated their way through the challenge, raising an impressive $35,450 for the Edmonton-based Kids with Cancer Society. Ledcor generously committed to matching all funds raised, making Ledcor’s total contribution $70,900 to help this great cause.

The Kids with Cancer Society provides programs and services to children with cancer and their families living in Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories, including funding of oncology camps, community support programs, research scholarships, and other areas which contribute to inspiring hope and improving prognoses.

In total, 33 teams participated in the ride raising more than $151,000.
