Ledcor demonstrated the ‘Ledcor Cares’ spirit by raising funds for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation Critical for Care campaign through employee-led events that took place over the course of May to July in Edmonton.
The foundation’s Critical for Care Campaign aims to raise funds for the expansion of operative services and intensive care units at the Stollery Children’s Hospital between now and 2018. This includes redeveloping the operative services to include state-of-the-art operating and procedure rooms, and increasing family privacy by enhancing pre-operating space and recovery rooms.
Admission passes to a local 10-day fair and exhibition called K-Days were sold to employees in support of the Stollery Foundation and the response to this offering was remarkable, raising a total of $6,817. Combined with the fundraising efforts from the “Pride in the Project” barbecue organized by Ledcor’s Royal Alberta Museum project team that drew the participation of employees, clients, and vendors, a final total of $10,823 was raised in support of the campaign.
Ledcor is proud of our employees’ desire to help move our communities forward by coming together for an organization that has a place in our hearts. The funds have been earmarked towards the foundation’s goal of building the first dedicated operating theatre at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
