Summit Air Announces Executive Appointments

Mauracher as President, Summit Air, responsible for the both Summit Air (fixed wing) and Summit Helicopters. 

“I am pleased that Rob will be leading the Summit Air team, which has grown significantly in the last year with the acquisitions of Arctic Sunwest Charters and Trinity Helicopters,” said Paul McElligott, President, Ledcor Aviation Ltd. “Rob’s extensive aviation experience in operations, manufacturing and maintenance will help our company further develop and grow.” 

Rob will be joining Summit Air from Viking Air Ltd, based in Victoria, BC, where he was Vice President, Business Development and Customer Contact. Rob has over 30 years of aviation industry experience in Canada, the US and the Caribbean, working with Bombardier Aerospace, Hawaii Island Air, Air Jamaica, Air Creebec, Nation Air, Canadian Partner and others. Rob’s appointment takes effect in August. 

“I am also pleased to announce that Myles Cane is being promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Operations for Summit Air’s fixed wing division,” said McElligott. “Myles played a crucial role in the transition of Summit Air and Arctic Sunwest Charters into a single company, and will continue to help us integrate our operations to better serve our clients.” 

Myles Cane was formerly Vice President Operations, Summit Air.
